Who was built this temple?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>1) Sanjusangendo temple was officially called \u201cRenge-on-in Temple\u201d and belongs to Tendai Sect of Buddhism.<br \/>\n\uff08\u4e09\u5341\u4e09\u9593\u5802\u306f\u516c\u5f0f\u306b\u306f\u84ee\u83ef\u738b\u9662\u3068\u547c\u3070\u308c\u3001\u5929\u53f0\u5b97\u306b\u5c5e\u3059\u308b\u3002\uff09<\/p>\n<p>2) This temple was built in 1164 by Emperor Go-shirakawa with Kiyomori Taira\u2019s strong support\u3000in Heian Period(794-1185).<br \/>\n\uff08\u3053\u306e\u5bfa\u306f\u5e73\u5b89\u6642\u4ee3\uff08794-1185\uff09\u306e1164\u5e74\u3001\u5f8c\u767d\u6cb3\u4e0a\u7687\u3068\u5e73\u6e05\u76db\u306e\u5f37\u529b\u306a\u5c3d\u529b\u306b\u3088\u308a\u5275\u5efa\u3055\u308c\u305f\u3002\uff09<\/p>\n<p>3) This main hall was rebuilt in 1266\u3000because of fire in Kamakura Period(1185-1333) by Emperor Go-saga.<br \/>\n\uff08\u672c\u5802\u306f\u706b\u4e8b\u306b\u3088\u308a\u30011266\u5e74\u5f8c\u5d6f\u5ce8\u4e0a\u7687\u306b\u3088\u308a\u518d\u5efa\u3055\u308c\u305f\u3002\uff09<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"3_What_is_this_temple_famous_for\">3. What is this temple famous for ?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>1) This hall consists of 33 spaces or bays between pillars with length 120m@width 20m.<br \/>\nIt houses 1,000-handred Kannon Bosatsu Buddhas sitting in the center, height 3.3m(11 ft.)<br \/>\n\uff08\u3053\u306e\u672c\u5802\u306e\u9577\u3055\u306f\u67f1\u9593\u304c33\u7b87\u6240\u3042\u308a\u3001\u9577\u3055120m@\u5965\u884c20m\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3002<br \/>\n\u771f\u4e2d\u306e\u5343\u624b\u89b3\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u304c\u9ad8\u30553.3m\uff0811\u30d5\u30a3\u30fc\u30c8\uff09\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3002\uff09<\/p>\n<p>2) It is said than Kannon Bosatsu Buddha incarnates in 33 different forms to save mankind.<br \/>\n\uff08\u89b3\u97f3\u83e9\u85a9\u306f\u3001\u4eba\u306e\u60a9\u307f\u3092\u6551\u3046\u305f\u3081\u5909\u5316\u8eab\u304c3\u8eab\u3042\u308b\u3068\u8a00\u308f\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3002\uff09<\/p>\n<p>3) Each side of this Buddha, 1,000-handred Kannon Bosatsu stand group of 500 in symmertry. \u3000They are life-size about 1.6m (5.5 ft.) height.<br \/>\n\uff08\u3053\u306e\u4ecf\u306e\u5176\u3005\u306e\u5074\u306b500\u306e\u5bfe\u79f0\u306e\u30b0\u30eb\u30fc\u30d7\u304c\u7acb\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3002<br \/>\n\u307e\u305f\u3001\u3059\u3079\u3066\u304c\u9ad8\u30551.6m\uff085.5\u30d5\u30a3\u30fc\u30c8\uff09\u306e\u7b49\u8eab\u5927\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3002\uff09<\/p>\n<p>4) 28 old wooden statues of attendant to Kannon Buddhas are in front row.
