Who was this temple built ?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>1) This temple is the lead temple of Tofuki-ji Temple group of Rinzai Sect of Zen Buddhism, the principality is Syaka Nyorai.<br \/>\n\uff08\u3053\u306e\u5bfa\u306f\u3001\u81e8\u6e08\u5b97\u6771\u798f\u5bfa\u6d3e\u306e\u672c\u5c71\u3067\u3001\u672c\u5c0a\u306f\u91c8\u8fe6\u5982\u6765\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3002\uff09<br \/>\n2) In 1236, it was built by instruction of Michiie Kujo, a great state man in Heian Period.<br \/>\nHe intended to build to up in Kyoto comparable to Todai-ji and Kofuku-ji Temple in Nara.<br \/>\nEven the name of Tofuku-ji is a combination of one Chinese character from the name of each Temple in Nara.<br \/>\n(1236\u5e74\u3001\u5e73\u5b89\u6642\u4ee3\u306e\u5049\u5927\u306a\u653f\u6cbb\u5bb6\u4e5d\u6761\u9053\u5bb6\u306e\u547d\u306b\u3088\u308a\u5275\u5efa\u3055\u308c\u305f\u3002\u5f7c\u306f\u5948\u826f\u306e\u6771\u5927\u5bfa\u3068<br \/>\n\u8208\u798f\u5bfa\u306b\u5339\u6575\u3059\u308b\u5bfa\u3092\u4eac\u90fd\u306b\u5efa\u7acb\u3057\u305f\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3002\u6771\u798f\u5bfa\u306e\u540d\u524d\u306f\u3001\u5948\u826f\u306e\u4e21\u5bfa\u304b\u30891\u6587\u5b57\u305a\u3064\u53d6\u3063\u3066\u6771\u798f\u5bfa\u3068\u3057\u305f\u3002)<br \/>\n3) It was regretably burned down but was rebuilt in 15th century to the original plans.
